Course Overview
Our one-day bootcamp give busy executives the outside in view of what good execution looks like. Think of it as the fastest way you can assess the scale of opportunity to improve strategy execution in your organisation.
▶ You want to rapidly assess – in less than a day - what good looks like in terms of strategy execution.
▶ You want to understand, in more detail, exactly what it will take to replicate the “execution” systems, and success, of the world’s most consistent value creating companies.
▶ You are trying to make sense of the acronym soup of strategy implementation methodologies (OKRs, OGSM, Hoshin, 4DX…).
▶ You want to frame your organisation's vision of “better” strategy execution and want to compare, and contrast, your organisation’s approach with best practice.
▶ What, in practice, makes executing strategy difficult and what specifically can be learnt from the way the best performing organisations approach strategy execution.
▶ The four guiding principles that underpin strategy execution success and why they really matter.
▶ How the best surface the tough decisions, reach consensus on the hard choices and clarify the breakthroughs needed.
▶ What level of clarity and focus is really needed to set-up for successful execution and exactly how you can consistently reach it.
▶ How you ensure there is the necessary level of ownership and accountability at all levels for executing the resulting plan.
▶ How you consistently make the course corrections needed when the plan, our assumptions, or the world around us, changes.
▶ Ultimately, which execution frameworks are more likely to help you succeed – and how can you combine them to create a “world class” execution system.
▶ “Line of Business” Leaders charged with delivering profitable growth – particularly those who wants to significantly increase the certainty that their growth/turnaround strategy will deliver.
▶ Operational Excellence Practitioners who want to understand what best practice strategy execution looks like and get a strategic take on the pros and cons of different strategy execution frameworks (Hoshin Kanri, OKRs, Agile, OGSM, 4DX etc).
▶ Strategy and Transformation Leaders who want to benchmark their organisation’s “execution” system and/or are trying to clarity their organisation’s vision of “better” strategy execution.
▶ Not Just Another Generic Strategy Execution Training - This course reveals the specific, and in many cases unexpected, practices that enable leading organisations to successfully navigate each cycle of disruption.
▶ Highly Experiential and Immediately Applicable – the backbone of this training is a fictional – but compelling – airline based case study which is used to bring concepts to life, support group exercises and demonstrate exactly how specific practices can be implemented.
▶ A private link to a complete recording of the instructor led elements of the training (no recordings are made of participant group working/reflection sessions).
▶ Digital access to an executive level presentation that summarises the key insights and recommendations from the bootcamp that can be used to socialise the learning within your organisation.
▶ Five unique discount codes - providing individual participants with a 15% discount on any future Breakthrough Partners’ course - that can be gifted to any individual in your professional and personal network.
▶ The option (per organisation joining) for a complimentary Deep Dive – leverage decades of strategy execution experience with up to 2 hours of free advice – focused on your specific questions - from one of our strategy implementation experts.

- Telephone: Please call UK: +44 0333 9875288 to discuss your in-house training requirements with a Breakthrough Partners training specialist.
The minimum number of participants for a Breakthrough Partners in-house Training course is 1, however to be cost efficient and to benefit from the value of group interactions during the training we would recommend a range of 4–10 delegates depending on the course selected.
For more than 10 delegates, a second instructor can be offered to ensure effective training of larger groups.
To provide in-house training, Breakthrough Partners asks that the organisation hosting the training ensure that the following facilities are available:
- A training room that can comfortably accommodate the size of the group to be trained.
- Audi-visual equipment that allow presentation of slide materials on a large enough screen that can be comfortably read by all participants and which allows sound to be played at a volume that can be comfortably heard by all participants.
- Access to wifi in the training facility with sufficient bandwidth to allow all participants to be simultaneously accessing cloud-based applications.
- Access to either food/ beverage service or local cafeteria facilities to support regular refreshment breaks and, where appropriate, a lunch break (if the course timing encompasses the mid-day period).
- Relevant safety briefing information that can be communicated to participants as to what to do in the advent of an on-site emergency that requires evacuation of the training facility.
Yes, there is the option to receive an invoice for a confirmed booking. On reserving, one or more, places in a training course, Breakthrough Partners will send details to the person making the reservation of how to confirm your agreement to the terms of the Training Agreement and request an invoice for the booked training.
Once requested an invoice will be provided. This invoice should be paid in full before the delegate(s) start the training if the booking is to be maintained.
Preparing for, and Participating in, Training Courses
Breakthrough Partners will provide joining instructions to delegates by email once the boking has been confirmed for that delegate.
The joining instructions will set-out the times of each on-line or on-site session and how to join and participate in the on-line sessions.
The joining instructions will also set-out how to joining instructions will also set-out any suggested preparation that the participant can undertake before starting the training to enhance the training experience. Typically this will include links to relevant articles and videos that support preparation for the training.
If your booking has been confirmed but you have not yet received your joining instructions, please contact us either by e-mail to training@breakthrough-partners.com or via telephone on +44 (0)333 987 5288.
Course joining instructions will be sent to each participant once the course booking for the delegate has been finalised. These joining instructions will, where appropriate, provide links to on-line resources e.g. briefings and/or videos, that should ideally be reviewed by participants before the start of the course.
Where (due to the more advanced nature of the course) reviewing specific on-line resources (for example, to ensure a minimum level of understanding of foundational concepts) is a pre-requisite, this will be indicated in the initial joining instructions.
Breakthrough Partners would ask that every participant that joins one of our training courses, join with a positive commitment to learn and a willingness to explore and embrace new concepts - even if those concepts challenge us to question our assumptions and beliefs.
By default Breakthrough Partners' training is provided on a remote instructor led basis, so booking accommodation is not typically a pre-requisite for attending the course.
Where a course is arranged as an in-company (in-house) training event, the responsibility for arranging and necessary travel and accommodation for participants is typically taken by the organisation for whom the (in-house) training is being provided.
Appropriate meal and refreshment breaks are provided when training courses are delivered in an in-company (in-house) format.
The specific schedule for these breaks will be agreed in advance of the course starting with the nominated lead from the organisation for whom the training is being provided, and it is expected that the organisation receiving the training will coordinate with their food and beverage service suppliers/local cafeteria providers to ensure that appropriate refreshments and food is available for participants at the agreed break times.
Breakthrough Partners trainers will make every effort to ensure that, as far as possible, the agreed timings for breaks are respected and will advise the nominated client lead if there is a risk of divergence from the agreed timings.
Some Breakthrough Partners Training Courses include a number of hours of 1:1 or 1:small group coaching with a Breakthrough Partners Lean Business System Expert within the scope of the training package.
Post training coaching support has been included in specific training courses where we believe it will be highly beneficial for participants to have access to an expert for guidance after the training has completed.
The inclusion of the coaching is noted in the course outline (see specifically details of post course coaching).
Where post course coaching is included in the scope of the training, that coaching will be provided remotely via Microsoft Teams and could involve sharing of information before and during the coaching session via a secure shared cloud drive (ideally provided by the client organisation whose participant(s) is/are receiving the coaching).
All Breakthrough Partners Facilitator and some of Breakthrough Partners Specialist courses include the option of obtaining a post training certification issued by Breakthrough Partners or, where relevant, widely respected 3rd party certification authorities.
The specific certification available will depend on the training course, but in general for Breakthrough Partners' Facilitator training, obtaining certification will involve not just satisfactorily completing the course but also successfully passing both a post -course assessment and provision of evidence that the relevant Breakthrough Business System implementation methodology has been successfully applied to refine, deploy and implement strategy or to implement a lean production system.
For those attending specialist courses the certification criteria will depend on the expectations of the 3rd party certification bodies - please see the certification section of each training course overview for the specific details of how certification is obtained for that course.
Breakthrough Partners will actively seek feedback from all training participants at the end of each training course.
Once this feedback has been collated, and anonymised, it will be shared with all participants that provided feedback via email.
Where Breakthrough Partners provides a course on an in-company (in-house) basis and the organisation requests Breakthrough Partners to identify the participants providing the feedback, then this will be provided for all participants who indicate at the point of giving the feedback that they are willing to be identified in the consolidated course feedback.
By default, to ensure consistency and continuity, a single highly experienced lead trainer will deliver the majority of the course content for remotely delivered Breakthrough Partners training courses.
However, where the course includes sessions in which participants need to split into small groups to complete specific tasks, a second Breakthrough Partners trainer will typically provide additional support to ensure the smooth running of these working sessions.
Where a Breakthrough Partners course is provided on an in-company (in-house) basis, the organisation commissioning the course has the option to request more than one trainer if they feel this would be beneficial to support the delivery of the course. Whilst option of an adding an additional trainer will increase the fees for the course, past clients of Breakthrough Partners have found it beneficial particularly when the course runs over multiple contiguous days.
